RESOLUTIONS – Of the Philological Literary Society of Indiana Asbury University respecting the death of Mr. James Bladen. Whereas, it has pleased the Almight to remove from our midst by death our friend and brother, Philo, Mr. James Bladen. Resolved, that by his death we are again reminded of the shortness of time – of the certaintity of death and of our great privilege and duty of so ordering our life as that we shall be prepared to depart whenever the messenger shall cal.  Resolved that with his relatives and friends, we regret Mr. Bladen’s early death and trust that God has called him to enjoy a higher and nobler life. Resolved that these resolutions be placed on the Society record – a copy be place in the possession of the family and also that their publication in the Banner & Press be requested.  Charles H.
